Mario Balotelli will no longer set foot on the field' at AC Milan

AC Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has implied that Mario Balotelli, on loan from Liverpool, may have played his last match for the Italian giants.
The former Manchester City forward was introduced as a substitute with just two minutes remaining against Genoa and, despite conceding a late goal, Milan still emerged as 2-1 victors.
Mihajlovic, though, was furious with Balotelli’s lacklustre showing at full-time: “We should’ve scored a third goal and not risked at the end. It is also my fault, as those who don’t sacrifice themselves for the team to the 94th minute will no longer set foot on the field.
“It wasn’t just Balotelli, there were another two or three as well as him, they know who I’m talking about.”
Mihajlovic, whose side are 5th in Serie A, also introduced French international M’Baye Niang for Jeremy Menez with 13 minutes remaining and Andrea Poli for Riccardo Montolivo with just seven minutes left.
Balotelli is thought to be on wages in the region of £125,000-a-week at Anfield meaning they are unlikely to allow him to remain on the fringes next season.
Another loan deal appears likely but the Italy striker’s disastrous spell at the San Siro makes him an unattractive option for prospective employers.
Balotelli has made just 11 appearances for Milan this term and has scored twice.
