Koala robbers haven’t escaped – Police
The Greater Accra regional Police command has dismissed reports that the two alleged robbers who attacked the Koala sales girl last month have escaped custody.
Rumors are rife that the two bandits have absconded and are being sought by the Police.
But spokesperson for the Greater Accra regional Police command Asp Afia Tenge told StarrFMonline.com the two are still under the care of the police.
“They haven’t escaped, they are still in custody. One of them was discharged from the Police Hospital today so maybe the fact that people are not seeing the two together at the hospital may have led to the thinking that one has escaped but that is not true,” Tenge stated.
The robbers, on January 8 this year, shot the Koala sales girl on her way to deposit the previous day’s sales at the bank. While bolting, a brave driver rammed into the motorbike of the thieves, forcing them into a nearby drain.
