Buhari is like Jesus Christ without disciples – Chief Dele

Popular Nigerian entrepreneur Chief Dele Momodu has compared his country’s President Muhammadu Buhari to Jesus Christ, but without his disciples.

According to him, the former military leader appears to be embarking on a lone battle in his campaign against graft in the West African country because he does not have appointees who believe in the crusade.

President Buhari is waging a massive war against corruption in Africa’s most populous country. The campaign has led to many former ministers under the erstwhile Jonathan administration to return their stolen state funds.

He has however been criticised by some Nigerians for slowing down the Nigerian economy as a result of his obsession for the movement against graft.

Speaking to Nii Arday Clegg on the Morning Starr Friday, the Ovation Magazine publisher said Buhari means well for Nigeria and must be supported.

“President Buhari is a man of integrity, I like to describe him as a Jesus Christ without disciples. He means so well but he does not have the people who believe and support what he is doing and that is the problem,” he bemoaned.

Momodu has received innumerable awards and honours, and has garnered recognition for his work in the world of business, politics, literature, the music industry and the fashion industry in which he plays major roles.
