The Technical Directorate of the Ghana Football Association has invited forty (40) young players who starred in the 2015 and 2014 editions of the Airtel Rising Stars Project for the third phase of the to be National Under 17 selection exercise.
Airtel Rising Stars, the most consistent talent hunt program in the country, has for the last five years been discovering talented males and females to feed the national juvenile teams.
The 2014 and 2015 teams of the Airtel Rising Stars produced some talents worthy of national team attention.
The forty players will start their camping Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at 6pm on Wednesday.
Below are the players:
Mohammed Halidu, Erkima Zubayru, Edmond Boateng ,Adam Hamza, Abubakari Abdul Malik, Nuhu Yakubu, Gabriel Bonnah, Emmanuel Okyere, Mubarak Umar, Stephen Turkson , Salim Mohammed, Franklin Boah and Zakaria Godfred.
Others are; Rashid Fuseini, Foster Yankey, Kyei Kevin ,Shaibu Tahiru, Mohammed Cobbina , Abosa Jacob, Patrick Arthur, Najimudeen Alhassan, Zakaria Abdul Mowgees, Simon Atubga,Sadat Fuseni and Danlard lbrahim .
Also making the list are; Nana Osei Asibey, Osei A. Prince, Gideon Nti Tweneboah, Atta Moses, Frederick Asare, Mathias Govina, Banafo Prince, Najeed Yakubu, Hulbert Okrah, Gabriel Leveh, Ishmael Akwasi Antwi, Emmanuel Afriyie, Frank Owusu, Enock Frimpong and Abdul Kawel.
National Under 17 team coach Paa Kwasi Fabin will access the players over four training sessions from Thursday to Saturday and proceed to choose who players will make it into the final list.
Paa Kwasi Fabin has done a remarkable job travelling the length and breadth of the country in search of new talent to make up the national juvenile team.
