Real Madrid president Florentino Perez sees Raphael Varane as a future club captain.
Perez says Varane is a Real player thanks to coach Zinedine Zidane.
He told France Football: “It is thanks to Zidane that Raphael is with us. He had been highly recommended and I must say that we are delighted to have in our club one of the best French footballers.
“I can even tell you that I’m sure Varane will one day be the captain of Real Madrid.
“Madrid supporters love him and he is not only a great player but also an exemplary person.”
