Mexican drug lord El Chapo was interested in buying Chelsea

It has emerged that recently arrested Mexican drug lord ‘El Chapo’ was apparently interested in buying Chelsea.
Joaquin Guzman – El Chapo’s real name – wanted to combine his passions for football and entrepreneurship, according to Spanish publication Sport.
It is reported that the Mexican gangster, who is a ‘keen lover of the beautiful game’, could be worth up to €1 billion and is a big fan of the Mexican team Gaza Puebla.
The Blues are owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, but it is believed that El Chapo has significant wealth of his own and wanted to submit a bid for the club.
The Mexican drug lord, who was re-arrested last week, managed to escape through a mile-long tunnel despite being monitored 24 hours a day by security cameras:
