Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has retained his position as President of West African Football Union Zone B at the elections held in Accra on Tuesday January 12, 2016.
Mr. Nyantakyi secured four(4) votes to beat Mr. Djibrilla Hima Hamidou from Niger who pulled three (3)votes out the seven (7) total votes.
Delegates from the seven WAFU member countries (Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Togo, Côte D’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso)are currently in Accra for the congress which is being held at the Movenpick hotel.
The GFA boss will serve a new term as head of the sub-regional football body from 2016-2020.
