Swansea defender Taylor sings Ayew’s praises

wansea City defender Neil Taylor has lauded teammate Andre Ayew for his impressive showing in the English Premier League.
The 25-year-old playmaker saved the Jacks’ blushes on Saturday, scoring and winning a penalty as Swansea came back from two goals down against Bournemouth to grab a 2-2 stalemate at the Liberty Stadium.
Saturday’s goal was Ayew’s sixth strike of the season, having joined Swansea in the summer from French side Marseille.
“Andre [Ayew] has been great and he’s taken to this [Premier] league brilliantly considering he’s someone who came from the French league,” Taylor told SkySports.
“We are surprised he could make the transition so quickly.
“Sometimes, it can take time and players can find it difficult but that has not been the case for him at all.”
Ayew scored on his debut in a 2-2 draw at Chelsea, before scoring against Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.
“I think he’s enjoying his football and like a lot of players who’ve come to Swansea, he’s settled in well and is scoring goals,” Taylor added.
“Obviously, that’s great for him and great for us and we’re all hoping he can continue doing that.”
Owing to his outstanding form, Ayew was named English Premier League Player for August, in addition to being adjudged Swansea Player for August and October.
The former Marseille man is also in the running for the BBC African Footballer of the Year accolade as well as the Caf African Footballer of the Year gong.
