E.T Mensah has lost belief in his own leadership – Sam George

A Presidential aide, Sam George says residents of Ningo-Prampram need a young, vibrant and visionary leader after 20 years of despondency under incumbent Member of Parliament, Enoch Teye Mensah.

According to George, the failure of E.T Mensah to show up to articulate his achievements before residents of Ningo-Prampram at Starr FM’s constituency watch is a clear indication that the former Sports Minister has lost confidence in his own leadership.

“The fact that my appearance here has sent a 20-year-old MP running shows that my bones are old…it is time for a new direction”.
George believes that the continuous stay in office by the incumbent will hamper growth of the area, insisting it is about time for him to bow out for someone like him with new ideas to take over and rebuild the constituency.

“I am in this race because myself and the people deserve better, better than what E.T Mensah has given us in the last 20 years,” he told Bernard Nasara Saibu Tuesday.
He added Ningo-Prampram needs “a leader that has real vision…he (E.T Mensah) has played his part but after 20 years we still have communities without light, we still have communities with no water…in the entire Ningo there is less than 20 km of tarred road…the last time ningo saw a proper road was 1992”.

“The people have consistently cried for their roads…pregnant women lost their pregnancies because of the horrendous nature of the roads”.

The former Works and Housing Minister is seeking a sixth term in Parliament after over 20-years of service to the people of Ningo-Prampram but George whom the MP groomed over the years, is seeking to unseat him.

George added that he is convinced of winning the mandate of the people to represent the NDC as its parliamentary candidate for the 2016 general elections.

The NDC goes to the polls on November 21, 2015, to decide on Presidential and Parliamentary candidates that will represent the party in the 2016 general elections.
