Don't hinder if you're not helping – NPP's Freddie Blay tells President Mahama

The national vice-chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Fredrick Worsemao Armah Blay, has said that President John Mahama should not deny Ghanaians the opportunity to improve their lives if he is not prepared to help them.
In an interview with Kessben FM, the former first deputy speaker of Parliament, popularly known as Mr Freddie Blay, said: “Ghanaians are really suffering and the government is doing nothing to cut down on their hardship, so if they (Ghanaians) are restlessly struggling to earn a living, the government should not further subject them to economic difficulties.
“The government is putting extra cost on Ghanaians and I am not happy about it. If he (the President) can’t help them, he shouldn’t deny them the opportunity.
“Dumsor dumsor” and the devaluation of the Ghana cedi is crippling local industries. How can you tell Ghanaians to be productive and patronise local goods when there are no industries and power to feed the market with local goods?”
When asked about the next initiative after the “YA Y3 D3N” demonstration, Mr Blay said he couldn’t predict what would happen next, but urged the government to formulate and execute good policies to improve the life of Ghanaians, “not just their own families”.
