Aston Villa: Find out what Garry Monk says about being linked with Tim Sherwood's job

Garry Monk finds it “comical” that he has been linked with replacing Tim Sherwood as Aston Villa manager.
Monk, whose Swansea team play at Villa Park this weekend, has been mentioned in connection with the Villa job, along with Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes.
Sherwood remains in post but is coming under increasing pressure after just four points from eight Premier League matches left Villa in the relegation zone.
Monk was asked about being linked with the claret and blues at his pre-match press conference.
He replied: “It’s comical. These things don’t help managers.
“Tim Sherwood is doing a good job. You have to let the manager get on with the job. Those links do not help.”
Swansea are on a poor run of form themselves having lost four and drawn one of their past five games.
“It’s the nature of the league this year.
“Here is pressure, but I don’t perceive it as negative,” added Monk.
“I put more pressure on myself than anyone else.
“We need to focus on getting back to our levels.
“I have great confidence we can do that and get the results we need.”
