Dery sues EIB Network, Anas over Kumasi video screening

Embattled High Court judge Paul Uuter Dery has gone back to court seeking to stop EIB Network’s Ultimate 106.9FM, Anas’ firm Tiger Eye PI and the Golden Tulip from screening the video exposing him and others taking bribes to influence cases.

The ‘Ghana in the Eyes of God’ documentary is showing tonight at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi after a successful premiering in Accra last week. It starts at 4pm with another show scheduled for 8pm same day.

Dery, who failed in his bid to place an injunction on the screening in the national capital, is seeking an interlocutory injunction on the Kumasi event and wants management of the three entities prosecuted and jailed.

Thirty-four judges are being investigated over the judicial scandal after Anas Aremeyaw Anas videotaped them taking money and other forms of inducements such as sex among others to throw away cases including freeing suspected criminals.

Twenty-two lower court judges are currently on suspension while the remaining 12 who are high court judges battle the impeachment process.

The five-member body probing the scandal is on a month’s break.
