Black Queens win Gold at 2015 All Africa Games
Ghana’s senior national female team have won gold at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo.
The Black Queens beat Cameroon by a lone goal in the final match played at the Kintele Stadium in Congo.
Coach Yussif Bassigi’s side were awarded a penalty towards the end of the game and Portia Boakye scored from a rebound after the Cameroonian goalkeeper’s initial save.
Victory over their Cameroonian counterparts has handed Ghana’s female national team its first ever major title.
The Black Queens made it into the final match after beating Cote D’Ivoire by a similar scoreline in the semi-finals.
