Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has picked forms on behalf of President John Mahama ahead of the NDC’s November presidential and parliamentary primaries.
The ceremony was heralded by pomp and pageantry as thousands of party supporters besieged the party’s Adabraka head office to welcome the Vice President.
The supporters clad in party colours were heard singing party songs and heaping praises on the President.
Mahama is likely to be challenged at the primaries by one George Boateng who has also picked forms to contest in the November polls.
Executives of the ruling party have, however, clashed with Boateng over the processes that led to his acquisition of the presidential forms.
The ruling Party has set November 7 for its parliamentary and Presidential primaries.
