Northern CPP endorses Edmund Delle’s return

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Northern Regional executives have declared their support for Professor Edmund Dele. The former CPP National Chairman has staged a comeback for the position which according to the Northern Regional CPP leadership, is a step in the right direction.
At a news conference in Tamale addressed by the party’s Regional Director in charge of education, Nayi Adam Alhassan, he said their endorsement of Professor Dele is unanimous.
“We the regional executives with support from all the constituency executives and delegates do hereby declare that we will vote for Professor Edmund Dele in the coming national delegates congress slated for September to win the Chairmanship and aid the wellness of the great CPP family.” “The declaration has come on the basis of several consultations, agreement and understanding reached by the entire regional executives with support from all the 31 constituencies in the region.”
Nayi Adam Alhassan described Professor Dele as an intelligent politician and a chief strategist who could win power for the CPP in 2016. “Professor Dele with his vast experience in Ghanaian politics will initiate policies, strategies and more projects across the board that will see the CPP matching the NPP and the NDC boot for boot to capture power come 2016 elections.” “We see Professor Edmund Dele as a unifier who will unite the party to victory in the 2016 general elections: Professor Edmund Dele is a fatherly figure in the CPP and will father the rank and file of the party for victory in 2016.”
