Adams Mahama family attacks Afoko in court
Drama unfolded at the premises of the Human Rights Court, Accra Division, when the children of the late Adams Mahama attacked Gregory Afoko while exiting the court room after being denied a bail application filed by his counsel, Ekow Ampah Korsah.
Gregory Afoko, is currently standing trial having been accused of pouring acid on the late Upper Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Adams Mahama.
The accused, younger brother of the national Chairman of the NPP, Paul Awentime Afoko, was accompanied by the prosecutors and some policemen when the incident happened.
He was immediately whisked away into a car to prevent him from been harmed.
The attackers then turned their heat on the few family members of Gregory Afoko by reining insults on them.
The course of the attack the daughter of the late Adams Mahama named Lukaya collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
It took the efforts of some security operatives to restrain the two families from physically attacking each other.
