Two arrested for allegedly vandalizing NPP MP's car

Police in Obuasi have arrested two suspects for allegedly vandalizing a car belonging to the NPP MP for Adansi-Akrofuom Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
Ironically, the incident occurred on the day the presidential candidates of the political parties were signing a pact to commit themselves and their supporters to peace before, during and after the elections.
The MP, Appea Pinkra claims the attackers, believed to be NDC supporters, have been harassing NPP sympathizers in the area.
Obuasi Divisional Crime Officer, DSP Kwabena Oto Agyepong told Joy News the two are assisting in investigations.
In a related development, police in Kumasi are holding a couple in connection with the theft of a 2 day-old baby about a week ago.
Police earlier picked up a 30 year old woman Hajia Salamatu after reuniting the mother and child.
They have now picked up the suspect’s husband over his alleged involvement.
