Another loud mouthed NPP Group, “SAVE NPP NOW” has accused the once defeated Korle Klottey Member of Parliament aspirant and lead counsel in the landmark election petition, Lawyer Philip Addison of betraying the party’s flag bearer Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo in the full glare of the public.
The group insists that the party’s flag bearer as a matter of urgency should stay away from Lawyer Addison.
“The flag bearer must as a matter of urgency, begin to distance himself from the “enemies within” of which Addison is part. A person who believes in the Presidency of Akufo-Addo will be cautious when speaking about the election petition. Philip Addison has only managed to abuse his relationship with the flag bearer and cast insinuations at the party.”

PHILIP ADDISON BETRAYS NANA AKUFO-ADDO
In a rather shocking turn of events, Mr. Philip Addison, the lawyer who served as the lead counsel to our flag bearer during the landmark election petition case, has pointed to his father’s house with his left finger.
During an interview with a Citi Fm reporter on Sunday, 2nd August, 2015 at the parliamentary primaries for the Klottey-Korley Constituency, Philip Addison virtually threw all caution and common sense to the winds and declared among other things that the NPP went to the Supreme Court on “so-called” electoral malpractices.
We, members of SAVE NPP NOW find the reference to the famous election petition as “so-called” by no mean a person than Philip Addison as disrespectful, arrogant and an insult to the party.
We are not surprised that Philip Addison made this derogatory remark in the heat of his frustrations. After all, he is just a latter-day-saint in the NPP who has unfortunately been made a hero overnight.
However, the obvious disdain and contempt which Philip Addison exhibited in the manner in which he described the election petition, speaks volumes.
By his utterance, Philip Addison has clearly revealed his lack of respect for our flag bearer and the party. Nana Akufo-Addo must take a second look at the kind of people around him. This party holds the famous landmark election petition in high esteem.
But for the miscarriage of justice which the party suffered, Nana Akufo-Addo would have been President of Ghana today.
The flag bearer must as a matter of urgency, begin to distance himself from the “enemies within” of which Addison is part. A person who believes in the Presidency of Akufo-Addo will be cautious when speaking about the election petition. Philip Addison has only managed to abuse his relationship with the flag bearer and cast insinuations at the party.
We are hopeful that the flag bearer would take judicious notice of Philip Addison’s insolent, irresponsible and reckless behaviour and stay away from him.
The NPP cannot afford to keep such lose cannon around the flag bearer ahead of the 2016 elections. Philip Addison is a high risk potential embarrassment and must be dropped like a hot coal.
Thank you.
