Minister of state at the Presidency, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah says IMANI’s 47% rating of the NDC government’s performance is only a reflection of their relationship with the government and not a true assessment of the performance of the John Mahama led government.
The minister who was speaking at a three day capacity building workshop for the Ashanti regional youth wing of the NDC said the think-tank was not a friend of thegovernment “but yet managed to give the government some pass marks in infrastructural development and other spheres”.
He encouraged the youth of the region not to be swayed by such assessments of the government but remain resolute in their support of the NDC.
He mentions several development projects the NDC had undertaken as evidence of the NDC’s commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians.
“I only saw something like the Rattray park in Kumasi when I visited Dubai and wondered when we will have something like this in Ghana, now we have it here in Kumasi”, he said and adds that “soon, circle will be looking like New York with the completion of the interchange under construction”.
