4Syte TV and YFM have jointly announced a partnership between the two companies for the debut edition of the Ghana Urban and Hip Hop Awards.
The partnership announcement was made in the studios of YFM in Accra during a live show Wednesday afternoon.
The awards will be launched in September 2015 but will be held in 2016.
Ignace Hego, Chief Executive for 4Syte TV and Akwasi Agyemang, Managing Director of Global Media Alliance, operators of YFM, signed the partnership agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
“We have planned this for the past three or four years and it is on a happy note that finally, we are bringing this into fruition. I am sure many artistes listening to the show now would be happy we are finally taking off because they have been asking me a lot of questions on this over the years,” Ignace Hego stated.
He said 4Syte TV has over the years provided unique platforms for the best entertainment in the country.
“As far as the Ghana Urban and Hip Hop Awards are concerned, partnering with YFM is the most logical conclusion as there could have been no stronger brands to execute the event in the best possible way,” he added.
Mr Akwasi Agyemang described the partnership as “another exciting milestone” for YFM and said the station would work to make the event a memorable one.
He said the collaboration between YFM and 4Syte TV “truly represents that perfect blend and would come as no surprise as both brands are noted for their prowess in the entertainment industry.”
