Parliament resume session after power cut

Power has been restored to Parliament after an hour of power cut which left MPs leaving their seats to attend to other things.
Earlier report
Today’s Parliament sitting was suspended for some time after a power cut plunged the House into partial darkness during proceedings.
MPs were in the midst of keen discussions regarding various loan agreements the country has entered into with some international organisations when the incident happened, reports say.
The chamber, foyer and other offices of Parliament were said to be in partial darkness.
“Upon all the loans, President Mahama cannot fix dumsor,” one Minority member said.
“The Members are using their mobile phone torch light systems to aid their reading of the day’s Order Paper and other official documents which has been laid before the House for consideration and adoption.
“Members have now resigned to their seats chatting with one another.”
