800 boxes of ammunition seized in bus

Police have intercepted about 800 boxes of ammunition being transported from Accra to Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region.
The ammunition was packed in the luggage compartment of an OA bus and was intercepted upon a tip-off, according to the Greater Accra Regional Police command.
Police said three people, including the driver of the bus, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Upon interrogation, the driver said he did not know the ammunition was part of the luggage.
Police say a man hailing from the Brong Ahafo region has been linked to the ammunition and is being investigated.
