Consumers of petroleum products are being assured of a further reduction in fuel prices from Monday.
The announcement comes barely 24-hours after the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors and Oil Marketing firms were accused of manipulating and exploiting consumers.
Some fuel retail outlets have adjusted their rates downwards after the recent 23% reduction.
But some consumers say the reduction is not enough.
Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, Senyo Hosi said the price of fuel will see a further decline by next week.
“Hopefully, Monday we will be publishing the average situated BDC price which I think will be lower than the SPI in public yesterday. And I think consumers should be expecting lower prices at the pump,” he noted.
