NPP officers boycott steering committee meeting

The New Patriotic Party national elected members have today boycotted a steering committee meeting organized by the party’s national chairman Paul Afoko.
Agenda items that were meant to be under discussion include the review of the Talensi by-election and the 2016 elections.
The meeting, which was held at the Airport West Hotel, was to be attended by the following persons – all of whom were absent:
Freddy Blay – Second vice chairman
Kamal Deen – Nasara Coordinator
John Boadu – National orgainser
Sammy Awuku – Youth organiser
Abankwah Yeboah – Treasurer
Kyei Mensah – Minority leader
The National chair is said to have come under criticism by the party’s stalwarts for not organizing meetings after his election to chair the party. This is the first meeting to be boycotted.
