Restoring gas from Jubilee Fields will take longer than anticipated

Operators of the Jubilee Fields are uncertain when they will be able to restore gas to the Ghana National Gas Company.
According to Ghana Gas, Tullow Oil is currently working hard to reinstate gas export. The company has notified them that it needs a minimum of a week to ascertain what caused the disruption.
This means that Ghanaians may have to endure the ongoing load shedding for a little longer as the Tullow Oil works to resolve the issue.
Tullow, on Tuesday July 7, 2015, halted the production and export of gas to Ghana Gas onshore processing plant temporarily.
Corporate Affairs Manager of Ghana Gas, Alfred Ogbamey, said the development would result in an interruption in the company’s ability to produce lean gas for power production and LPG among others.
