Liz Benson returns to Nollywood

Nigerian actress, Liz Benson-Ameye, who has been missing on screen for many years now, has staged a comeback to her first love, acting.
The delectable actress was spotted on the set of a new TV series in Owerri.  She disappeared from the screen after she married her husband, Bishop Great Emeya in Warri, Delta State.
The legendary actress, who ruled the screen in the 80s expressed her happiness at returning to the screen again. Presently an evangelist, Liz will be thrilling her fans once again as she stars in this yet-to-be aired television series.
Stardom
She began acting at five years old. Her journey to stardom, however, began when she appeared in the popular television soap opera, Fortunes, in 1993.
In 1994, her role in Glamour Girls shot her into prominence and gradually, she wormed her way into the minds of millions of Nigerian movie fans.
Other movies she is known for include Evil Men, Shame, Conspiracy, Izaga, Burden, Stolen Child, Faces, Dead End, Tycoon and Body of Vengeance.
However, Liz suddenly quit acting in 1996 when she became a born-again Christian and started preaching the gospel.
The beautiful actress lost her first husband, Samuel Gabriel Etim, in her mid-twenties. The Efik-born actress, took another shot at marriage after her conversion.
In a quiet court ceremony in Abuja, she got married to Bishop Great Emeya in 2009 at the Rainbow Christian Assembly in Warri, Delta State.
Currently an evangelist, Benson lives in Delta State with her husband. Together they run a ministry, Freedom Family Assembly.
