Westlink Impact Network Awards tertiary students with Dollars
The chief executive officer of westlink Impact Network Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Baah Jnr. has adviced government to award tertiary students who are doing great works out campus to reduce graduate unemployment. Speaking at the median edition of Africa Education Awards in Accra, the chief executive officer said , Africa Education Awards is a prestigious awards Scheme which seeks to recognize, celebrate and acknowledge students from JHS to tertiary education, Teachers and Heads of schools from Various levels who took bold decision to achieve academic excellence in Africa.
He said ” the Africa Education Awards is the Biggest Educational awards ceremony in Africa,if not the world to introduce $200 cash prize to the winners and also introduce for the first time Gold award, Gold medal, certificate of honour to those who did not win any category”.
Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Baah Jnr indicated that the mission of the awards is to use innovations and creativity to bring out imaginative ideas into reality, with the vision of becoming company that imaginative ideas can be reality to solve world difficult challenges.
He said the scheme will organize capacity building, Entrepreneurial and leadership training to the winners with the aim of introducing training to the winners to empower and encourage them to become student entrepreneur.
Students who won prestigious awards during the ceremony were . Lucy Adutwumwaa Akowuah Jnr. ( Student blogger / Author of the year. UCC) . Tsewor Johnson Selasi( student of the year, UPSA ) . Emmanuel Hagan Jnr. ( Student mean of year ENCHICO). Faustina Cujoe ( student Entrepreneur of the year, HCCE ).Anafo Elizabeth ( student in Nursing of the year, UDS). Frimpong Stephen kwabena ( student leader of the year STU ).Abubakari Iman ( student women of the year UCC ). Sandra owusu ( student Beauty Queen of the year, UG ). Deborah Akunor Kwakye ( student musician of the year KNUST) .
In all 40 students were awarded 9 getting $ 200 each plus gold award and medal,were awarded with gold and medal and certificate
