Lydia Forson announced "Female Personality of The Year"
Outspoken actress Lydia Forson was adjudged female personality of the year at Sunday’s Fashion Icon Awards.
She beat celebrated songstress Efya and Ghanaian-Russian heritage designer Beatrice Arthur of B’ExotiQ label to become the first Ghanaian actress to pick that award.
“Female personality of the year… Fashion Icon Awards… We did it family. Thanks for voting,” she told her fans Monday afternoon.
Lydia Forson remains one of Africa’s best actresses who have not featured in a bunch of productions yet are acting extremely well for themselves.
Her self-produced movie, A Letter From Adam, is currently enjoying massive patronage. The movie took three nominations for upcoming Nigeria Entertainment Awards in the categories, Best Director, Best Movie and Best Actress.
The Fashion Icon Awards is an annual event. This year’s ceremony was held at the Lifestyle Gallery, Spintex Road, Accra, on Sunday amidst rains.
Campaigners for the female personality of the year category were people who had expressed a neat sense of flair and outstanding personality that influenced the worldwide public in their various fields last year.
