Acquah moves to Torino
Ghana international Afriyie Acquah has moved to Torino on a permanent transfer from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee, the Italian Serie A club announced on Friday.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who played the last four months on loan at Sampdoria, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Granata outfit.
A statement from Torino read: “Torino FC are delighted to announce the signing of Afriyie Acquah on a permanent transfer from Hoffenheim FC. The Ghana midfielder has signed a contract until June 2019.”
Hoffenheim signed Acquah in January 2013 from Palermo but the African player was months later sent out on a two-year loan deal to Parma, where he made a total of 41 appearances.
Acquah joined Samp on loan during the winter transfer window and made 10 starts to help the Genoa outfit finish seventh in Serie A this season.
