Akufo-Addo embarks on 16-day European tour

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is embarking on a 16-day tour of some countries in Europe.
The tour will see him visit five countries, namely Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy, where he is scheduled to meet members of the NPP branches.
In Germany, the first country of the tour, he will attend functions organised by the party’s branch in Dusseldorf, as well as travel to Berlin for events organised by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the development foundation associated with the German governing CDU party, a sister party of the NPP.
While in the Netherlands, Nana Akufo-Addo will pay a working visit to the Regional Education Centre in Amsterdam, where he will see at firsthand the operations of the Dutch technical and vocational school system, and also address NPP town hall meetings.
 
In Belgium, he will deliver the commencement address at the graduation ceremony of the prestigious Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques (CERIS) on “Ghana: Present Challenges and Future Prospects”.
In France, Nana Akufo-Addo will pay a site visit to KUHN group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialised agricultural machinery, meet Ghanaian students and executives of NPP, before departing to his final destination of the tour, Italy, where he will take part,  from May 28 to May 31, in the NPP’s quadrennial International Conference, which brings together all NPP overseas branches to deliberate on the future of the Party.
He will be accompanied on the trip by Francis Asenso-Boakye, his Political Assistant, Eugene Arhin, Press Secretary, and Charles Owiredu, NPP’s Director of International Relations.
Nana Akufo-Addo and his team will return to Ghana on Monday, June 1.
