Ghana Actors' Guild won't attend "dumsor" vigil

The president of the Ghana Actors’ Guild says he will not be part of the #dumsormuststop vigil in Accra.
Speaking to Kessben Television’s Entertainment desk, Bill Asamoah, who was at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi to lend support to Richard Asante aka “Kalybos”, said the country has had a lot of difficulties that have sparked demonstrations.
He added that if his colleagues want to have a vigil to campaign about the nation’s current power crisis it’s a step in the right direction.
“We are all Ghanaians so we can express our feelings if we think something is not going right,” he said.
He however stated that he will not join vigil in Accra due to some other “pressing matters”, but pledged his full support to his colleagues and called on the government to give ear to their pleas.
Celebrities expected to join the May 16 vigil include Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, Ama K. Abebrese, DKB, Kweku Elliot, D-Black, Eddie Watson, Becca, Deborah Vanessa, Efya, Kwaw Kese, EL, Nikki Samonas, Van Vicker, XO Senavoe, Confidence Haugen and many more.
The vigil dubbed #dumsormuststop, according to organisers, will be held at Green Park opposite the Villagio at the Tettey Quashie Interchange in Accra.
