Uneducated Ghanaians will keep you in opposition – Yammin

Former Deputy Ashanti regional Minister Joseph Yammin has chided the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) for his recent comments that only uneducated people will vote for the NDC in the country’s next elections.
“Napo insults everyone else but himself and for that he should know that the same uneducated people will keep them in opposition during the 2016 elections. He should remember that there is no education with the thumb.”
Joseph Yammin was among several NDC stalwarts, including the party’s National Organiser Kofi Adams, National Youth Organiser, Sidi Abubakar, Minister of State at the Presidency, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, who spoke to student party supporters at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology during the weekend.
He also wondered why people were surprised at some lecturers forming a group to facilitate a change of government in favour of the NPP.
“Why are you surprised? Didn’t you know they were NPP already? They have been doing this for a long time. They are only coming out because they want to be shadow DCEs,” he said.
Mr Yammin added that the NDC will prevail and achieve its one million votes target in the Ashanti Region come what may.
Joseph Yammin also promised the students who were anxious about the power situation that “dumsor will not be a campaign message for any party in the next elections as the President will fix the situation.
“Nowadays, when someone has a headache, the NPP attribute it to “dumsor”, everything is attributed to “dumsor”. We will fix it and see what message the NPP will have”.
