Michelle Obama shows off dance moves on TV show
Michelle Obama has shown off her dance moves on the popular Ellen DeGeneres talk show on America’s NBC network.
The First Lady had been invited to the show to discuss life after the White House. She said she was most looking forward to the little luxuries like being able to drive with the car windows down.
However, it was Mrs Obama’s rhythm and style that stole the headlines after the host invited her to show off her moves on the dance floor.
Michelle Obama has long been an advocate of exercise as she tries to get America fit with her Let’s Move campaign.
She appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her latest initiative – Gimme 5 – in which she asks celebrities and ordinary US citizens to give her five examples of ways they are leading a healthy life.
Mrs Obama revealed that she had enlisted the help of a group of choreographers to come up with a special dance routine, which she will perform at next month’s annual White House Easter Egg Roll.
Michelle and the TV show’s host performed an energetic routine to the sounds of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’s hit Uptown Funk.
Their efforts were met with whooping, cheering and plenty of applause from the audience, and the resulting video has since become an online hit.
Michelle Obama and her dance troupe will next perform their routine at the White House Easter Egg Roll on April 6.
