Black Stars book a place at AFCON 2015

The Black Stars on Wednesday beat their Togolese counterparts 3-1 at the Tamale Sports Stadium to qualify for a place at AFCON 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
Striker Abdul Majeed Waris put the Black Stars ahead in the 23rd minute before Mubarak Wakasu scored the second goal in the 26th minute.
The Togolese fought back in the second half and scored through Jonathan Ayittey in the 46th minute. They were however put in their place when Emmanuel Agyeman Badu sealed victory for Ghana in the 68th minute.
The victory meant that Stars topped their group with 11 points.
Meanwhile, Egypt and Nigeria both made shock exits, which means the African giants will not be represented.
The teams making it through to AFCON 2015 on January 17 to February 8, 2015 are:

Group A: Bafana Bafana (winners), Congo (runners-up)
Group B: Algeria, Mali
Group C: Gabon, Burkina Faso
Group D: Cameroon, Ivory Coast
Group E: Ghana, Guinea
Group F: Cape Verde, Zambia
Group G: Tunisia, Senegal
Best third place qualifier: DR Congo
