Gov't must set up checks against financial loss – Financial expert

Government must set up checks and balances to avoid financial leakages in its institutions, financial expert and lecturer at the University of Education Winneba, Kumasi Campus, Mr Obeng Takyi has said.
Mr Takyi added that if nothing is done to clean up and correct the situation, then the years ahead will be hard for Ghanaians.
Speaking to Kessben TV News, the financial expert said: “It is the government’s responsibility to set up institutions to check corruption. The mismanagement of Ghana’s resources is too high – we need competent and dedicated people to handle our resources.”
Mr Takyi appealed to President Mahama to put measures in place to ensure proper financial discipline.
