NPP Primaries: Dr S K Frimpong Outlines Vision for Asante Akyem North Constituency

An aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Asante Akyem North Constituency, Dr Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong has successfully filed his nomination to contest in the upcoming primaries. In the dynamic landscape of political contests, the upcoming NPP primaries in Asante Akyem Constituency promise to be a pivotal moment for the constituents. Dr. Frimpong, a dedicated public servant, visionary leader, and a unifying force, has emerged as a compelling contender against the backdrop of an incumbent MP characterized by arrogance, divisiveness, and a lack of commitment to human development.

The Restoration Agenda
In a media engagement after the submission, Dr Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong indicated that, the heart of his campaign lies “The Restoration Agenda,” a comprehensive and inclusive vision aimed at fostering unity, humility, and meaningful development within the constituency. This agenda comprises ten key points, each addressing crucial aspects of community well-being and progress: Healthcare Support, Farming Input Support, Education Empowerment, Trader Empowerment Loans, Job Creation and digital Skills Development, Delegate Welfare Programs, Human Resource Development and Empowerment, and Constituency Development Plan, Sports Development, Community Engagement Platforms.

Dr. Frimpong’s vision seeks to bring together the diverse voices within Asante Akyem, fostering a sense of unity that transcends political affiliations. According to him, submission of his nomination forms today, presents the constituents of Asante Akyem a unique opportunity to embrace a leader whose vision extends beyond party lines. “The Restoration Agenda” reflects not only a commitment to progress but also a dedication to inclusivity, humility, and the overall well-being of the community. “The choice is clear – a future guided by division or a united path towards restoration and development.”- Dr Frimpong added.

During President Agyekum Kuffuor led administration, Dr Frimpong served as Administrative Liaison Officer in the President’s Office. Due to his Genuity, eloquence, and ability to “walk people across the bridge,” Dr Frimpong served as the Special Aide and Spokesperson for the Former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. The late Alhaji Aliu Mahama. Dr S.K Frimpong is currently a Technical Economic Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.

So far, in addition to Dr Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong, 4 people have picked nomination, the incumbent MP (Andy Appiah Kubi), a former MP (Kwadwo Baah Agyeman) a contractor (Stephen Obeng Saka), P.R.O for Ministry of Education (Kwasi Kwarteng).

Interestingly, reports indicates that Dr. Frimpong, despite being a first-time contender in the NPP primaries, has swiftly emerged as the frontrunner among his competitors. As the political landscape of Asante Akyem undergoes a transformative shift, it is becoming increasingly evident that the people are rallying behind a fresh, unifying leader who embodies humility, inclusivity, and a steadfast commitment to community development.
