President John Mahama and President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo, will today, Monday, November 3 inaugurate a joint Ghana-Togo border post at Noefe in the Volta Region.
This is an initiative by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to reduce the frustrations at the borders and facilitate trade between member states. This border post will collapse the two separate posts in Ghana’s territory and the other in a Togolese territory.
The initiative will make it possible for Ghanaian and Togolese immigration officials to be present at the same post, which will facilitate efficient movement between the two countries.
