MP for Salaga urges peace as land dispute sparks tensions

The MP for Salaga South Hon Ibrahim Dei has urged youths in the area to keep the peace following a land dispute which has deteriorated into fighting in the area.
The altercation, which started between two individuals in Kulaw, a town in the Salaga South Constituency, has claimed the life of one person and left several others injured.
The incident has sparked tensions between the people of Chumuru and Gonja. The land dispute arose as a result of a misunderstanding as to which individual had the legal right to farm on that piece of land.
