KMA boss abandons official residence for guest house
Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive, Kojo Bonsu has abandoned his residence and now lives in a guest house.
Sources say he left his residence over a year ago. Ibrahim Boadi, assemblyman for Ridge Nhyiaeso and also the leader of the group asking for the impeachment of Mr Bonsu told Kessben TV news that the assembly has spent “millions of cedis” to renovate the official residence, yet he does not live there.
Mr Boadi added that assembly members would raise a vote of no confidence in him.
The assemblyman said that in spite of the issues that had been raised to support the call for his removal from office, Mr Bonsu has not changed. He added that some senior authorities have been involved to talk to him about these same issues, but he still remains adamant.
“Is this a person who is willing to change”? he asked.
“We have realised that he’s not ready to listen to any form of advice, so we as part of the assembly will advise ourselves.”
Mr Boadi concluded that if the government do not call him to order they will ask for his removal.
