Construct our roads, or lose our votes – Sewfi Bekwai and Agona residents warn
Residents of Sewfi Bekwai, Adjakaamanso Agona and its environs in the Amanfi Central District have warned that they will vote against government at the next election if their roads are not improved.
Speaking to Kessben TV news, residents admitted voting for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) with expectations for change, but no improvement has since been made on their roads.
The bad roads have led to high transport fares, which has caused residents to cut down on their travel.
Commercial drivers who ply the road say they visit the town only once every two weeks because they can’t afford to change their tyres, and carry out other repairs.
The NDC MP for the area, George Kofi Arthur, called for patience on the residents’ part while government worked on the project.
