We don't need a UEFA-licensed coach – Bashir Hayford

The Ghana Football Association is in the process of screening applicants for the vacant Black Stars job following the dismissal of Kwesi Appiah almost a fortnight ago.
No local coach applied for the vacant job, with as many as 27 expatriates sending in their CVs.
The Ghana U20 womenโ€™s team coach said the criteria served as a big disincentive for local coaches. โ€œI donโ€™t think those at the FA are running Ghana football with UEFA certificates,โ€ he told Kessben FM.
โ€œI cannot go to Europe and coach there, even if I go, I will not get it.
“So then are we saying that doctors should have European certificates to be able to practice in Ghana?
โ€œYou can ask the Finance Minister โ€“ Seth Terkper โ€“ whether he is holding a European accounting certificate to perform his work.
โ€œYou can even ask the President whether he is running the country with European certification.
โ€œOurs is CAF, they have their UEFA and when you go to Asia it is Asia license they have and so on.โ€
