Rev Kusi Berko died of diabetes

The family of Kumasi gospel musician Barima Kusi Brimpong, known in showbiz as Rev. Kusi Berko, have confirmed that he died due to diabetes-related conditions. Rev Kusi Berko passed away on Friday, August 1.
The musician, who is known for songs like ‘Ofata’, ‘Eden Ben Ni’ and ‘Mrane’ is reported to have died in Pramso, near Kumasi.
The deceased’s brother disclosed that Rev. Kusi Berko had also suffered from stroke and pneumonia.
Speaking to Abrantepa on Radio Univers, he said his late brother came to Ghana from Italy suffering from pneumonia, which led to a stroke.
He further revealed that the deceased regained his health from the stroke but later suffered from diabetes that led to other conditions, resulting to his death last Friday at the Pramso Roman Catholic Hospital.
The one-week celebration takes place on Saturday, August 9 at Aseserewa near Lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region.
