Mourinho speaks out on Lampard’s shock Manchester City move

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his thoughts on Frank Lampard’s shock decision to sign for Manchester City on loan.
The Blues legend only left Stamford Bridge after a long association with the club at the end of last season and looked to have made the move abroad after signing a contract with MLS side New York City FC.
However, the 36-year-old will not be able to play for his new club until January, and has been sent back to the Premier League on loan for the first half of the 2014/15 season to help maintain his fitness.
This has seen him make the controversial move to one of Chelsea’s main title rivals Manchester City, and although little could be done to dent Lampard’s reputation as an all-time great for the London club, it is somewhat controversial to see him lining up for another top English side next season.
Still, Mourinho insists he has no hard feelings towards the England international, saying that as a free agent he could move wherever he liked, and that he would still be given a warm welcome when he returns to Stamford Bridge next season.
“He is a free agent he can choose his club so I have no problem at all,” the Portuguese coach said.  “When he comes to Stamford Bridge he is welcome.”
