Ghanaians plan demo against Mahama in the US

Some Ghanaians resident in the United States of America (USA) have planned a protest against President John Dramani Mahama in Washington DC, where he will be part of African leaders for the maiden US-African Leaders’ Summit.
“This will be in the spirit of expressing our spleen against his corrupt and incompetent government,” a release from the organisers said.
The demonstration is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 6, at the US State Department.
The organisers maintained that the depreciation of the local currency, hikes in fuel prices and transport fares and the general rise in the cost of living have brought “untoward” hardship on their “brothers” and “sisters” in Ghana.
