Fire guts KNUST's Unity Hall

Fire officers have successfully put out a fire that gutted the 6th floor of Unity Hall, Block B at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
Though the cause of the fire is yet to be established, Kessben TV was informed that the fire started at around 3pm on Wednesday.
An eyewitness said that although the fire wardens were swift to the scene, they had a hard time putting out the fire because they could not control the gadgets and had to wait for technicians to operate the gadgets.
A university student at the scene said it took KNUST fire wardens some time to get to the scene and they stood helpless looking at the building and had to call for reinforcement.
Meanwhile chief fire personnel said that some property was burnt on site and admitted that they faced challenges which were beyond them.
He later explained the reason for their delay in controlling the gadgets and was glad finally the fire was put out.
