Jordan Ayew has left French giants Olympique Marseille to sign for fellow Ligue 1 side Lorient FC.
The 22-year-old has penned a deal that could keep him at the Stade Yves Allainmat – Le Moustoir until 2017.
Jordan opted to join Lorient after manager Sylvain Ripoll assured him he has a place for him in his squad for the upcoming season.
A host of clubs including German pair Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbachand and English sides West Bromwich Albion and Hull City were all linked with a move for the attacker who played for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup.
However, Lorient landed him after successfully reaching a deal for with Marseille who declared the player surplus to requirement.
Jordan, third son of African football legend, Abedi Pele, spent six and half seasons at Marseille and scored 14 league goals in 112 appearances.
However, a loan spell at Sochaux last season saw him grab five Ligue 1 goals in 17 outings.
