The removal of fuel subsidies has overburdened Ghanaians, economist and lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba Kumasi campus, Mr Obeng Takyi, has said.
Speaking to Kessben Television about the recent hike in petroleum prices, Mr Obeng said fuel is a strategic commodity globally and any tax put on it affects everything. He added that this is the reason why most governments subsidise it.
Mr Takyi appealed to the government to act on the fuel price increment.
