Suspected Ebola case dies
A man suspected to be carrying the Ebola virus has died at the Nyaho Clinic in Accra.
Blood tests indicate that he may have had the deadly virus, but this is yet to be confirmed. The man died yesterday afternoon while under quarantine.
He is said to have arrived from Guinea on Sunday and reported at the clinic for medical attention after suffering from fever.
The death follows an emergency meeting in Accra last week by health officials from 11 countries to strategize on how to contain the spread of the virus which has spread to Sierra Leone and Liberia.
There have been some 467 deaths out of 759 cases reported in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia by the close of June 30, this year.
