Yaw Tog is ungrateful – Kwaku DMC spills it all on how Tog broke away from Asakaa, betrayed them & was going around lying
A staunch member of the Asaaka music group, Kwaku DMC has opened up on how Yaw Tog broke away from the Asakaa group.
DMC speaking on Kessben TV’s Music Plus with Mr Bonez set the records straight regarding how Yaw Tog left the music group that brought Yaw Tog to the limelight.
In his words, the straightforward rapper described Yaw Tog as a very ungrateful person.
Speaking about the circumstances that led to the departure of Yaw Tog from the Asakaa team, DMC had this to say. “Now let me set the records straight on Yaw Tog. He is ungrateful.
The reason why I’m saying this is because he came to us or yes we met and he said wanted to do music, on the Yebesori song, he brought his beat to us, and Kenneth and others added verses to the song. The song became huge and all over the place, one of the biggest songs. It came from us, we did not charge anything because he was part of us.
As we moved along, Empire Music approached and said they wanted to sign us and distribute our songs. At that time, we had less knowledge about the music business.
We needed to come together as a group and sign for Empire so we informed all the members. We told Yaw about the deal and he said no, and all of a sudden he stopped coming into our studios, and after he permanently left, he started throwing shades and all that. In fact, he betrayed us” He said.
