I'm worried about Ghanaians – President Mahama

President John Mahama says he is worried and shares in the frustrations of all Ghanaians due to the challenges currently facing the country.
His comments follow protests and demonstrations in Accra and Kumasi focussing on the economic hardship experienced by citizens.
In the latest of such protests, which took place today, more than 300 people petitioned the President at the Flagstaff House expressing their discontent with the difficult economic conditions in the country.
Addressing senior citizens at a state luncheon celebrating Ghana’s 54th Republic Day today, July 1, the President said he has not forgotten the promise he made to the people of Ghana when he was sworn in and will continue to listen.
President Mahama admitted the nation has been hit by “several obstacles and challenges” some of which are still being resolved.
The President stressed the “time for talking has passed”.
He urged Ghanaians to work together with him for a prosperous nation.
